Overview

This is an exciting role that will be responsible for achieving the top line for our newly formed Clinical BU in South East Asia. We are searching for a positive, self-driven individual to create effective strategies to grow and develop the market; develop and foster strong customer relationships; and to develop and train channel partners to deliver exponential growth. The successful applicant will be part of a larger collaborative APAC team, have the opportunity to develop new business skills and will positively impact the healthcare diagnostic space. This role will report into the APAC Commercial Head.

 

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • To build effective strategies to grow and develop the Clinical Market
  • To run, develop and lead the SEA Clinical Business to be a customer centric business unit focused on meeting a high standard of customer satisfaction and to ensure that individual, team, business unit and entire business performance measurement objectives are met.
  • Plan the future needs for the Clinical Business, aligning the needs and requirements for support service to meet the commercial ambitions of the company.
  • Develop effective relationships  and establish strong collaborations across all departments (service, support, finance, customer service, etc.) to address key business issues & drive opportunities.
  • Develop, build & implement an enhanced customer satisfaction level with Waters provided products and services through exceeding customer expectations, follow-up, and positive problem resolutions for critical account customer concerns
  • To lead and train distributors to drive exponential growth in high growth segments 
  • Develop and implement comprehensive and realistic business commercial plans, sales projections, and risk assessments
  • Knowledge about our competitors to ensure Waters products and servicces are positioned well. 
  • Set clear objectives and measures and actively feedback progress and results.
  • To develop and train channel partners to deliver exponential growth in high value segments (forensics)
  • To build customer advocates
  • Lead and collaborate with South Korea’s Clinical Service and Application team members

 

Qualifications

 

In order to achieve these goals, we have identified the following competencies and attributes:

  • Chemistry background or qualification
  • Medical devices/capital equipment sales experience
  • Experience in working with processes and business systems, enabling sales activities and successful customer management
  • Experience to achieve sales targets
  • Experience in strategy development, project management and problem solving
  • Exceptional qualifying and negotiation skills
  • Be able to provide examples of when you have been a change agent
  • Build positive working relationships, both internally and externally
  • Experience in presenting information to and negotiating with all levels of management
  • Prioritisation skills - be able to identify what will help or hinder accomplish a goal, eliminate road blocks and create focus.
  • Be comfortable makeing quick and sound decisions in ambiguous situations and be sought out by others for advice and solutions.
  • Provide effective feedback to people and take appropriate actions to optimize team’s performance
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English
