The Global Service Support (GSS) Team is looking to hire a summer intern out of our Waters India - Bangalore.  This internship is a phenomenal opportunity to gain real-world experience while working at the world's leading specialty measurement company. This internship will last approximately ten weeks and the program will commense in the spring/summer of 2024.

Responsibilities

  • This role as INTERN Service Support Specialist is intended for beginners, fresh from colleges, has intention to learn and lean on scientific and development carrier in health and life sciences organization like Waters Corporation, however candidates have some amount of experience on any service field also considered.
  • Successful candidates will be trained on Chromatographic Principles, like basics HPLC, UPLC, MS and Empower application.
  • This intern role will have a minimum period of 6 months, and to the maximum of 18 months.
  • Successful Candidates will work with existing GSS Team based in Bangalore India, to learn of the workflows and business system like Compass.
  • Provides technical support on day to day for global service organization, internal customer technical support groups and repair department.
  • Technical support includes assistance with operation, troubleshooting, maintenance of Waters products and technologies.
  • Test and evaluate customer instruments as required within the scope of Service Support
  • Maintains the instruments, software, servers necessary for the day-to-day operations.
  • Replicate the customer reported issues at Waters Labs and establish the root cause.
  • Receiving, Logging, Document Customer Calls, interactions and transactions.  Complete follow up system transactions (Ticket Procedures, Reports etc.,)
  • Receive direct calls from customers, document in Waters Customer databases, take remote sessions to understand customer issues and resolve real time.
  • Issuing documents to be used during installations, service visits and training in collaboration with the User Experience Customer Satisfaction Group

Qualifications specific to this role:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in related technology or equivalent with or without previous experience

  • Exposure to data software related to life sciences products, like chromatograhic data software used for analytical measuremnts is added advantage for this role
  • A candidate who is on final semester and looking for Industrial exposure
