Overview

To contribute business partnership, insights, analysis, and execution on expense management for the Asia Pacific Field Operations Division. The Senior Analyst APAC Expense Management will report to the FP&A Sr Manager, Asia Pacific.  This position will partner closely with the finance and commercial operations organizations and is accountable for delivering strong expense management, capability uplift and financial control, through providing financial insights and advice to help achieve target outcomes; and build and maintain strong relationships with the stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for producing, reviewing, analysing and issuing periodic reports on expenses and provides business insights to management.
  2. Liaise with internal and external functions to promote understanding of business performance.
  3. Perform analysis on expenses and efficiency, including monthly cost driver (fixed/variable).
  4. Implement ongoing process improvements or simplification initiatives through transformation and digitisation to improve overall expense management.
  5. Owning the execution on approved discretionary spend, tracking and monitoring of activities with Country Finance Directors/Finance Business Partners.
  6. Supporting and reviewing forecast trends and raising independent and objective questions to improve forecast accuracy and for budget planning.
  7. Performing financial modelling improvements during forecast and budgeting processes to enhance process efficiency, supporting new initiatives and to accurately capture changing business economics and structure.
  8. Support in annual budgeting and monthly forecasting process focusing on expenses.
  9. Provide analytical support for ad hoc research and projects as identified by management.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline
  2. 3+ years of financial-related experience preferably with MNC
  3. Proficient in financial modelling, data analysis and good knowledge of Excel and financial software (e.g., PowerBI, SAP).
  4. Strong communication and collaboration skills, candidate will interact with various levels of management across the organization.
  5. Possesses strong business senses, solid financial skills in financial statement analysis and modelling, and the ability to mine and analyse data effectively.
  6. Self-drive, good logical thinking, and expression skills, and able to adapt well in fast changing environment
