Overview

We strive to advance our payroll & benefit operations to create a great employee experience by building robust processes to improve efficiencies and reporting functions to ensure compliance and support across the organization. 

 

Having created a UK shared service payroll team based at our Wilmslow office supporting 3 UK Businesses for circa 1,000 employees, we continue to advance our Payroll & Benefit structure across Europe and have created a great opportunity for a Payroll Team Leader to join our team to manage the UK Payroll & Benefits operation.  This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to expand their experienced by managing a small payroll team with a key focus on delivering an exceptional service.  

Responsibilities

 

  • Ensure that all HMRC submissions are made, payroll reconciliations carried out and all legislative timescales are understood and adhered to. 
  • Experience running all aspects of a payroll function, including HMRC Legislation  
  • Company policies and employee benefits are managed in line with Waters guidelines 
  • Support the Payroll Manager through the continuous improvement, development and coordination of processes and procedures. 
  • The ability to manage the payroll and benefits systems, with the aim of providing improvements along with an excellent employee experience. 
  • Liaise with the internal and external auditors in a timely manner 
  • Maintain a proactive continuous professional understanding of statutory and payroll changes 
  • Undertake day to day line management of the UK team, including, one to one’s, conducting appraisals, overseeing their development, whilst promoting the shared service ethos. 
  • Manage pension administration, auto enrolment and interface with pension providers. 

Qualifications

Education: 

  • Certified Payroll Professional qualification – CIPP or equivalent.   

 

 Experience:  

  • Experience in the use of ADP IHCM software or similar product. 
  • Ability to calculate manual pay slips 
  • Knowledge of stock option and restricted stock unit schemes is an advantage. 
  • Understanding in the operation of a benefit administration systems
