Overview

Waters, the world's leading provider of lab equipment, supplies and software is seeking for a HR Shared Services Specialist to support the our businesses across Asia Pacific. In this role, you will primarily support Waters business in the following locations: Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, and Taiwan. In addition, you will be working closely with the rest of the Shared Services team in Europe and Americas on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

Provide support to employees and managers related to HR policies, programs, process and procedures

  • Being the first point of contact for employees regarding HR topics such as policy questions and either responding or passing on the question to the appropriate person and keeping the employee informed.
  • Establish the employee experience with a strong customer focus, an environment of collaboration and enablement, effective and successful performance, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all SLAs/KPIs within HR Shared Services are met within the agreed tolerance levels for timeliness and quality.
  • Provide instruction to payroll in relation to new employees, changes and leavers.
  • Requests for letters etc. for external purposes (loans/mortgages) 

Administer HR processes such as onboarding, offboarding, and employee changes (e.g., promotions, transfers, leaves of absence)

  • Issue job offer letters on advice from the Talent Acquisition Team and HR Operations Manager
  • Manage job offer and on boarding process
  • Employee induction
  • Setting up new employees in Employee Central and relevant local systems and working closely with HRIS team

Manage and maintain HR-related systems and data, ensuring accuracy and completeness of employee records

  • Manage relevant systems –, iCIMS, LMS, SuccessFactors, etc.
  • Manage and maintain up-to-date personnel files and ensure compliance with Data Protection.
  • Manage the co-ordination, evaluation, tracking and reporting of employee training.

Manage contents related to HR across Waters communication channels

  • Ensure HR SharePoint site and People Leader Hub contents are updated;
  • Be responsible for updating news and posts in Waters intranet;
  • HR Admin user in Waters Policy system PolicyTech to maintain HR policies globally

Participate in relevant projects to represent HR and provide HR shared services perspectives

  • Collaborate with HR business partners and other teams to improve HR processes, procedures, and programs.
  • Maintain knowledge of HR best practices and industry trends, and make recommendations for improvements to HR programs.
  • Support the change management efforts, encourage an attitude of change across the organization and promote the use of tools and technologies to gain efficiency in delivering human resource solutions.

Qualifications

  • Expertise with the following HRMS applications - Employee Central and ECSC preferred.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong knowledge on MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • You are target oriented and team player and have strong understanding of Human Resources Policies, Procedures, and Benefits is preferred.
  • Analytical thinker who can focus on tactical and operational issues in a fluid environment.
  • Should have demonstrated project & process management experience.
  • You have ability to provide a positive user experience through active customer support and identify process deficiencies and perform initial root cause analysis in support of improvements.
  • You have ability to adapt to changes and work across system platforms and execute accordingly and to engage employees in different cultures.
  • Work Experience – 2 years in HR Shared Services Model preferred.
  • Education Qualification – Graduate in Human Resources.
  • Must be fluent in English, and preferably also in Japanese or Korean.
