As a Field Customer Support Specialist, you will support customers across a wide variety of lab-based scientific business sectors meaning your role is very diverse and interesting, no two days are the same!

Responsibilities

CUSTOMER SERVICE ENGINEER
CHROMATOGRAPHY and MASS SPECTROMETRY - M/F
LC/MS FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER

 

Main mission:
To provide services related to the post-sale support commitments that Waters guarantees to its customers.
This position includes the following functions:
  • Proven knowledge of IT robotic technology and chemistry.
  • On-site training for using this equipment.
  • Carrying out preventive maintenance visits.
  • Perform corrective maintenance visits with an analytical approach to identify the causes of malfunctions.
  • Advise customers on the efficient use of the Waters systems.
  • Handle administrative actions related to interventions and monitoring of installations.
  • Consider the risks associated with these activities and implement risk prevention measures.
  • Promote Performance Maintenance Contracts and Qualifications.
  • Promote Customer Training.
  • Activity areas may be adjusted and modified in the coming years based on the development of installations, their transfers, or cessation of activities. Frequent travel is required.
  • National travel and stay abroad (including USA and UK) for regular training of 1 to 3 weeks.

Qualifications

The successful candidate ideally possesses the following skills:
  • Education:
    • Engineer/Master 2 Chemistry, Biochemistry
    • License with significant experience in these technologies
  • Desired experience:
    • Minimum of 1 to 2 years experience in a similar position and/or knowledge of mass spectrometry and high-performance liquid chromatography techniques.
    • Solid understanding of MassLynx and Empower software.
    • Practical knowledge of quadrupole MS technology.
    • Knowledge of robotic systems appreciated.
  • Other Skills
    • Proficiency in English – Spanish/Italian: a plus
    • Proven knowledge of IT and chemistry
    • Proficiency with: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
