Overview

An excellent new opportunity is now available for an experienced leader in Finance who is passionate about running the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) function and acting as a valued and trusted business partner to the Director Finance and VP of our India organization. The successful candidate will act as an enabler to provide Business Insights and Projections for the region. This is a strategic role that will support senior leadership in driving business performance, cost optimization, and financial decision-making.

 

This role will be based at Waters Peenya office, Bangalore and follow a hybrid model work approach.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Direct the organization's financial planning and analysis functions to monitor business performance and plan investment, budgeting, and financial strategies. This includes owning and driving the development and execution of the 5-year strategic plan, coordinating with the regional leadership team on execution elements to achieve the strategic vision, and owning and driving the AOP process across all business elements for a standalone business.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Develop policies and procedures to collect and analyze financial data, ensuring accurate and consistent financial reporting. 
  • Financial Modeling and Forecasting: Coordinate financial analysis, modeling, forecasting, and reporting efforts to drive efficient financial operations; including owning and driving the monthly reforecast process for the full P&L.
  • Business Insights and Projections: Review financial statements, reports, and models to develop business insights, create financial projections, and advise on cost management and investment decisions 
  • Methodology Improvement: Research, develop, and improve financial modeling and forecasting methodologies 
  • Regulatory Compliance: Implement controls and policies to ensure all financial analysis, planning, and reporting activities meet industry standards and regulatory compliance 
  • Project Coordination: Oversee the preparation, coordination, and documentation of financial analysis and planning projects to promote and ensure quality standards and sound methodologies 
  • Presentation: Development of executive level presentations, including monthly and quarterly financial reviews, annual operating plans, and other various reviews
  • Financial Results: Assist with clearly communicating a cohesive and concise story about financial results, focusing on business drivers behind financial data and potential implications for future results. Provide analysis for the India VP and Director Finance into funnel, market and customer data and respond to ad hoc responses to CEO and President of Waters Division Market, Business and investor relations analysis questions.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

 

  • Experience: 7-8 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with a proven track record of success. At least 2-3 years in a managerial role, preferably within the scientific instrumentation or technology company.
  • Education: Master’s degree in finance, Economics, or a related field. MBA from IIM or ISB is a requirement
  • Skills: Strong financial acumen, analytical skills, and strategic thinking. Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting tools. Proficiency in Excel, SAP, BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in managing a team.
  • Experience in scaling growing business is strongly preferred
