Overview

The application chemist team is primarily responsible for technical support of China. As an integral part of this team, the role of application chemist is to provide technical support, handle the Demo experiment and application projects for clients, demonstrate the solution to prospective clients etc. Waters is actively seeking a motivated individual as our application chemist, who would work closely with the SD and marketing members to drive the marketing using the applications and technology, and help to increase the business growth.

Responsibilities

 Develop the solution in the field of proteomics and biopharma with liquid chromatography & mass spectrometry based on Waters’ products, to meet the need in China Market
 Provide competitive result of Demo experiments of proteomics and biopharma to show our advantages of total solution for prospective clients
 Give on-site application training of proteomics and biopharma on responsible product and technology
 Support installed site to help customers be successful in their application field.
 Visit, communicate and collaborate with customers based on our solution and the keen understanding of the customers
 Collaborate closely with SD and marketing teams to ensure business growth

Qualifications

 Master’s degree or above in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Bioscience or equivalent education plus work experience
 Some of experience on liquid chromatography and high resolution mass spectrometry technology
 Familiar with workflow of proteomics or biopharma, independently search literatures, setup LC and LC-MS experiment method, process LC and LC-MS data using corresponding software, summary result and present result to customer
 Good web, Word, PPT and Excel capabilities
 Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
 Good oral and written English skills
 Passionate in learning high-tech science
 A team player and self-starter with strong organization skills
