Overview

Waters Corporation is currently seeking an individual to join our organization as a Principal Product Owner supporting our Data Analytics cloud software portfolio. The successful candidate will be experienced in the use of chromatography and mass spectrometry software solutions for the routine use of analytical instrumentation. Additionally, a deep understanding of how customers seek to extend the value of data generated from Empower CDS, and related laboratory software systems, via analytics solutions is helpful.

 

In this role you will use your understanding of user needs to plan, prioritize, and drive product development of Waters’ analytics software solutions. This prioritization will support business goals in the context of our overall data and analytics strategy.

 

We are looking for a Product Owner who can collaborate with users, other product owners, researchers, designers, and partners across the business to tackle complex problems with sophisticated solutions.  We want to find someone who will advocate for our users and relentlessly seek ways to deliver products that exceed their expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Working collaboratively within the Data Analytics portfolio, define a roadmap for your product area advised by customer needs, company and portfolio objectives, and industry-standard methodologies.
  • Prioritizing, leading, and detailing interactions with customers.
  • Acting as technical advisor and conduit between other departments including field sales, professional services, and sales enablement.
  • Breaking down user needs into an effective and prioritized product backlog which can be readily analyzed by the engineering teams.
  • Working in cross-functional teams with other departments to capture and analyze requirements and prioritize product-related issues.
  • Working closely with user and customer experience teams to deliver maximum and intuitive value to customers.
  • Ensuring that clear milestone goals and objectives are set, supervised, measured, and communicated.

Qualifications

Qualification / Education Required:

  • Degree or equivalent experience at the appropriate level, preferably in a science-related field.

Experience Required:

  • Validated ability using liquid chromatography and laboratory data systems in one or more of Waters's primary markets; hands-on experience with Empower CDS.
  • Experience with analytics software and business intelligence tools for further laboratory data value.
  • Proven track record of product delivery in a Product Owner role and knowledge of the software development process, especially Agile. (Preferred)
