As a Software Engineer at Waters Romania (Brașov), you will work on projects critical to our Informatics business needs.

We are looking for smart, self-motivated software engineers to join our truly exceptional engineering team. 

Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer you will:

  • Working within a formal development process covering the full development lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain software for server-side logic and frontend user interface.
  • Design and implement unit and system tests for new and existing functionality. Collaborate with automation engineers to generate automated system tests.
  • Investigate, diagnose and troubleshoot applications and system problems.
  • Provide work estimation and tracking information to support management decisions and planning.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and willingness to take on multiple tasks as needed on the frontend, backend, or system level.
  • Implement continuous improvements in the respective area of responsibility.
  • Diagnose issues, perform tests, and provide recommendations on a variety of problems which are of moderate scope. Review a variety of factors when analyzing differing situations or data. Exercise moderate judgment, considering defined procedures and past practices when making decisions.
  • Identify ways to improve existing processes or methodologies.
  • Participate in design and development activities. Interprets information or documentation relating to various procedures and technologies.

As a team member you will:

  • Work in collaboration with the agile team and appropriate experts to implement your designs.
  • Work in collaboration with the agile team to generate automated and manual tests to verify implemented software.
  • Participate in all team meetings and ceremonies in direct collaboration with other sites, provide input and feedback, take ownership on identified improvements
  • Actively participate in learning and sharing activities either during informal or formal training and demos
  • Demonstrate continuous technical improvement

Qualifications

Desired:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field)
  • 2+ years of experience in software engineering preferably in a regulated development environment
  • Frontend development experience using Angular 16 or later
  • Server technology development with Microsoft stack: C#, .NET Core and Object-Oriented Design
  • Understanding of multi-threading & async programming
  • Experience with Angular testing frameworks Jasmine, and Karma
  • AWS Cloud Experience. Docker, Containers and Microservices
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases, NoSQL DB
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
