Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Product Quality Engineer role at our European Distribution Centre to perform quality system activities to ensure continual improvement of processes and conformity to statutory and regulatory requirements. You will monitor and inspect warehouse and distribution activities to ensure conformity to applicable Quality System requirements.

Identify new, or changes to existing, processes and systems to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Quality system in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Quality Management System (establish, implement, maintain and improve) ensuring that company objectives and regulatory requirements are met in the most efficient manner possible.
  • Develop and manage interfaces with interested parties e.g., certification bodies, including audits.
  • Manage the Internal and external audit processes, identify and implement system improvements.
  • Monitor and manage the process non-conformity and initiate corrective action processes, identify and implement system improvements.
  • Support the induction training program for all new employees within the EDC organization and perform training as SME for Quality Management System.
  • Responsible and accountable for the Quality Management System. Manage the Quality Management System to continually improve and maintain effectiveness in the consistent warehousing and distribution of products. Promoting a risk-based / process approach.
  • Provide advice and support to Top management to ensure Leadership activities are performed.
  • Identify, manage and undertake continuous improvement activities with aim to increase process consistency across geographic locations and quality to interested parties.
  • Manage the documentation information process, identify and implement system improvements.
  • Manage the Quality System awareness training program to provide adequate knowledge and competence across the European Distribution Center.
  • Manage quality system change control activities e.g. implementation of new or changes to process or tool.
  • Form and coordinate multi-functional implementation teams when appropriate.
  • Plan and monitor EDC quality system-related activities to ensure accurate completion
  • Produce metrics relating to responsibilities, trends, and propose corrective actions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (Science, Management).
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to apply system quality management practices in efficient and effective ways while ensuring compliance with ISO 9001.
  • ISO 9001 internal auditor
  • The ability to lead and inspire change within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Change Agent – drives continuous improvement/compliance with regulations, knowledge of continuous improvement techniques.
  • Good written and oral communication skills are required, for example, to ensure succinct report generation, effective communication with peer groups, etc, across the organisation.
  • Must be able to work independently and connect with all levels of the organisation.
  • Computer literate, preferably with knowledge of software packages such as Word and Excel, to produce letters, management reports, and analyse data. Experience in using Smartsheet is advantageous.
  • Dutch and English language required
  • Practical approach to problem solving.

Ability to guide and support others, including assessment and prioritisation of needs.

 

This position requires on-site work at our Waters European Distribution Centre in Oud Gastel, Netherlands.
