Overview

The Payroll Specialist (Korea) will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll operations in compliance with Korean labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies. The role will also support HR administrative functions, including employee data management, contract preparation, and HR documentation. This position is essential to ensuring accurate payroll, maintaining compliance, and supporting overall HR operations in APAC.

Responsibilities

 

Manage the full scope of payroll processing for Korea including activities and not limit to:

o    ensure monthly payroll

o    coordinate yearend tax adjustment

o    update the payroll vendor on new hires/resignees status

o    ensure the review of payroll report, statutory payroll state tax submission, employee lodgments

o    payroll vendor management

Ensure employee records are updated (on/off-boarding documents, leave management, etc.)

Support Korea payroll audits

Execute Korea benefits program and act as a POC of benefits program, handle the related inquiries from employees in Korea as well as respective benefits provider (vendor)

In compliance with local policies and procedures for the region, support to develop, revise, and implement C&B and payroll related policies

Ensure the data accuracy of the HCM (myHR, ICIMS, etc) and generate internal periodic reporting e.g. turnover, headcount etc.

Performs other HR administrative duties for APAC region as required including activities and not limit to:

o    issuing employee certificates

o    participating in HR related surveys

o    employee Visa applications by liaising with relevant government agencies and vendors, etc.

 

Qualifications

  • University Degree or above
  • +3 years’ experience in Korea payroll and HR administration
  • Strong Oral and written communication skills in English and Korean
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong time and task management skills
