Overview

We are seeking a seasoned marketing professional with strategic vision, deep technical expertise, and a proven ability to develop the government and Tandem Quadrupole Mass Spectrometry (TQMS) market. This role has a dual mission: to deeply develop and nurture relationships within the Chinese government and building KOLs, and to lead the strategic growth of Waters' Tandem Quadrupole Mass Spectrometry (TQMS) portfolio in China. You will be the critical bridge connecting corporate strategy with key market needs and will be instrumental in achieving our business objectives.

Responsibilities

1.      Government & Key Account Development:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive market development strategies targeting Chinese government agencies and key national laboratories.
  • Establish and maintain long-term, strategic relationships with key officials, industry associations, and thought leaders.
  • Leverage insights into government policies and funding directions to translate opportunities into concrete business wins.
  • Lead and manage large-scale government tenders and procurement processes to ensure successful project execution.

2. Tandem Quadrupole Mass Spectrometry Portfolio Management:

  • Be responsible for the strategic market planning, positioning, and messaging for Waters' TQMS portfolio in China.
  • Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to define product advantages and market opportunities, providing critical input for product iteration and new product development.
  • Develop and implement effective product launch, promotion, and lifecycle management plans.
  • Create compelling marketing collateral and application solutions that highlight the product's leadership in areas such as food safety, pharmaceutical analysis, and environmental monitoring.

3. Cross-functional Collaboration & Sales Support:

  • Act as a technical marketing expert, providing high-level product training, technical support, and competitive strategy guidance to the sales team.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to support negotiations and provide technical expertise for key government accounts and high-value opportunities.
  • Work in tandem with the applications support team to develop competitive application solutions that address local market needs.

4. Marketing Activities & Brand Building:

  • Plan and lead high-level technical seminars, expert forums, and product launch events for government customers and research users.
  • Represent Waters at key industry conferences and government events to enhance the company's brand influence within the government and premium research sectors.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceuticals, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the scientific instrumentation industry (mass spectrometry experience highly preferred), including roles in market development or product management.
  • Deep understanding and practical application knowledge of Tandem Quadrupole Mass Spectrometry technology, with familiarity of its use across various application fields.
  • Proven track record in developing the Chinese government market or managing large-scale projects with academic institutions, with an established network of government or institutional contacts.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, market analysis, and business planning skills.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and negotiation skills in both Chinese and English.

Ability to undertake frequent domestic travel.
