Production Manufacturing Supervisor – Waters Longbridge

Join Waters at our brand-new, state-of-the-art machining centre in Longbridge. We’re looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to lead a talented team working with the latest GF Milling, Mazak Multi Axis turning, Studer Grinding and Zeiss, Hexagon and Mitutoyo CMM technology.

This is a full-time, permanent role on a rotating early/late shift pattern, offering a competitive salary, excellent shift allowance and great company benefits.

What you’ll do

• Lead and motivate a team of Manufacturing Technicians coordinating day-to-day production activities, safety, quality, on-time delivery and product costs to achieve company KPI’s and targets
• Drive continuous improvement by supporting lean initiatives including:o 5S, Kaizen and OEE
• Maintain ISO 9001:2015 standards and support Product Quality initiatives
• Support recruitment, training, development, performance management and annual appraisals
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Planning functions to enable production schedules to be met
• Ensure safe working practices and strong housekeeping standards

What you’ll bring

•  Apprentice-trained or HNC/HND in Engineering (or equivalent experience)
•  Proven supervisory experience and people management skills in a precision machining environment
•  Strong CNC knowledge
•  Ability to read engineering drawings (GD&T) and inspect components
•  Confident communicator and decision maker with solid organisational and problem-solving skills

Shift Pattern:

Rotating weekly shift pattern as follows: Early Shift (Mon-Thur 06.00hrs to 14.00hrs, Friday 06.00hrs to 13.00hrs) Late Shift (Mon-Thur 13.45 hrs to 21.45, Friday 12:45 to 19:45hrs).
