The Senior Rheology Leader will build and lead a dedicated national rheology organization to restore execution excellence and accelerate market share recovery in China. This role owns the end‑to‑end rheology strategy—driving deep technical engagement with customers, aligning sales, application, and service teams, and elevating TA’s position in a structurally growing, high‑value market. Qualifications
Education: An advanced degree (Master’s or PhD preferred) in Materials Science, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field is required. A solid academic or practical background in rheology or materials characterization is highly desirable.
Professional Experience: A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in rheology, materials characterization, or analytical instrumentation, with a proven track record of leadership in sales, applications, business management, or technical organizations.
Leadership & Management Competencies: Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and scale specialized, capability-driven teams—including sales, application, and service functions—in matrixed and cross-regional environments.
Technical & Commercial Competence: Recognized technical expertise in rheology and adjacent disciplines, paired with strong commercial acumen to drive pipeline development, enhance win rates, and compete successfully in a dynamic market.
Strategic & Execution Capability: Ability to effectively translate strategy into actionable plans, manage competing priorities, and deliver measurable business results within growth or recovery-focused settings.
Communication & Stakeholder Management: Superior interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective influence of senior clients, internal stakeholders, and global leadership teams.
Language Requirements: Fluent English (both spoken and written) is required for engagement with global stakeholders; native or fluent Mandarin Chinese is essential for leading teams and managing customer relationships in China.
