Overview

The application chemist team is primarily responsible for technical support of China. As an integral part of this team, the role of application chemist is to provide technical support, handle the Demo experiment and application projects for clients, demonstrate the solution to prospective clients etc. Waters is actively seeking a motivated individual as our application chemist, who would work closely with the SD and marketing members to drive the marketing using the applications and technology, and help to increase the business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the solution in the field of large molecular application (including Antibody, ADC, peptide, oligo, proteomics and so on )  using liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry based on Waters’ products (LC, MS, MALS etc), to meet the need in China Market.
  • Provide competitive results of Demo experiments of large molecular applications to show our advantages of total solution for prospective clients.
  • Provide on-site application training and troubleshooting of large molecular applications on responsible product and technology, help our customers be successful in their application field.
  • Communicate and collaborate with key customers to deepen and expand our potential in large molecular application field based on our solution and instruments.
  • Work closely with sales development and marketing teams, sharing technical developments timely, conversion into sales tools actively, assisting markets events, jointly ensure business growth.

Qualifications

  • Education:
  • Master’s Degree, or PhD in scientific areas such as Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Bioscience.
  • Experience:
  • Experience with LC and Mass Spectrometry.
  • Skills:
  • Familiar with the workflow of large molecule analysis, especially the separation and characterization of antibody, ADC, peptide, oligo, CGT and proteomics, independently search literatures, setup LC and LC-MS experiment method, process LC and LC-MS data using corresponding software, summary result and present result to customer
  • Having rich hands-on experience of method development on separation science and MS technology, experience in Waters LC and LCMS platform is a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Action oriented and eager to achieve results
  • A team player and self-starter with strong organization skills
