As a Principal Site Reliability Engineer you will work on projects critical to our Informatics business needs.

 

We're looking for creative and innovative engineers who bring fresh ideas from all areas, including data processing, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking and data storage, security, UI design and mobile; the list goes on and is growing every day. This is a FTC position of 23 months.

Responsibilities

As a Principal Site Reliability Engineer,

  • Lead enterprise-scale cloud migration (on-prem → AWS)
  • Ensure high availability during transition (no downtime pipelines)
  • Own reliability, scalability, and performance of critical systems
  • Lead cross-team engineering efforts and define standards (SLOs, observability, incident response)
  • Act as a technical authority and mentor, influencing architecture and delivery practices
  • Improve developer velocity and pipeline reliability
  • Build and optimize CI/CD + IaC pipelines
  • Improve developer experience and delivery speed

As a team member you will:

  • Participate in all team meetings and ceremonies in direct collaboration with other sites, provide input and feedback, take ownership on identified improvements
  • Actively participate in learning and sharing activities either during informal or formal training and demos
  • Demonstrate continuous technical improvement

Qualifications

Key Capabilities & Skills

  • Strong expereince in SRE / DevOps / platform engineering
  • Deep expertise in AWS
  • Strong experience with CI/CD systems and release automation
  • Proven success leading cloud migration initiatives
  • Experience with Kubernetes and microservices architectures
  • Proficiency in Terraform / IaC
  • Strong scripting/programming skills

Tool Skills

  • Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure
  • Containers & orchestration: Kubernetes, Docker
  • CI/CD tools: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD, Flux
  • IaC: Terraform, CloudFormation
  • Languages: Python, C++, PowerShell, Bash
  • Observability tools: Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana
