Overview

The "Payroll Assistant" supports the payroll manager by assisting in the accurate and timely processing of employee monthly payroll, maintaining employee records and ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.

Work Location : Peenya ,  Working days : 5 days , Employement Type : Contract type - Ongoing

Responsibilities

  • Assist in monthly payroll processing and verify payroll inputs.
  • Maintain employee payroll records and update employee master data.
  • Collect and validate attendance, leave, overtime, and shift details for payroll processing.
  • Support statutory compliance activities such as PF, ESI, PT, TDS, LWF, and other applicable regulations.
  • Assist in preparing payroll reports.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee payroll information.
  • Ensure payroll documentation is complete and properly filed and maintained
  • Assist during audits by providing payroll-related documents and reports.
  • Perform other HR administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 0–2 years of experience in payroll,
  • Basic knowledge of payroll processes and Indian Labour laws.
  • Good understanding of MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas preferred).
  • Familiarity with HRMS/payroll software such as GreytHR, SAP, Workday, or similar is an advantage.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
  • Preferred Skills:

    • Knowledge of payroll compliance and statutory requirements.
    • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Time management and ability to meet payroll deadlines.
    • Team player with a willingness to learn.
