Overview

Waters is seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of an Informatics Sales Specialist. The Informatics Sales Specialist is responsible for selling Waters Informatics Products (Empower Chromatography Data System, NuGenesis Lab Management System, UNIFI Network etc) within the Nordics region.

 

In this role, the Informatics Sales Specialist will be responsible for positioning capabilities and selling enterprise class software into a wide variety of scientific and life science markets.  This position will focus on managing accounts and expanding Informatics business within the Nordics Region.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales goals and quotas for the Nordics territories 
  • Position and demonstrate at high level – Waters CDS, Nugenesis and UNIFI - to prospective customers 
  • Manage accounts in collaboration with System Account Managers and expand business with the Nordics.
  • Develop and execute selling plans and projects in order to expand accounts and capture new business 
  • Interface with Waters field organization on strategic planning and service delivery 
  • Present to customers and prospective customers the standard features and functions of Waters Informatics products 
  • Discuss product concept to prospective customers, clearly, concisely and articulately 
  • Organise events/webinars to keep customers abreast of new developments 
  • Ensure CRM (Compass) is up to date on opportunities being worked upon 

 

Sales Knowledge: 

 

  • Proven success in a complex selling environment, having sold either enterprise class software or high tech instrumentation. 
  • Understands the process of selling Informatics Products on a corporate level into Scientific organizations. 
  • Trained in professional account management such as Selling with Insights 
  • Presents oneself clearly, concisely and articulately when speaking with an individual or before a group 
  • Exercises tact and diplomacy when presenting sensitive or controversial data. 

Technical Skills: 

  • Knowledge of laboratory instruments 
  • Previous use of Waters Informatics, or competitive systems  
  • Experience using a CRM package is a plus. 

 Project Management Skills: 

  • Ability to work multiple complex sales opportunities at multiple levels within prospective customer organizations. 
  • Identify people who can contribute to the solution of a problem or task. 
  • Organize people and tasks to achieve specific goals. 
  • Implement sound decisions. 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelors Degree Required.  Ideally degree in chemistry, biology, or biochemistry highly preferred.  
  • At least 3 years experience chromatograph and field sales experience  
  • Demonstrated experience with enterprise class software – Waters CDS, Lab Management System products - to prospective customers. 
  • Previous use of Waters Informatics, or competitive systems  
  • Action orientated and self-driven for results 
  • Good communication and Presentation Skills 
  • Good organization / planning / time management skills 
  • Strong interpersonal skills  
  • Mature disposition, positive attitude and strong sense of commitment 
  • Adaptive to dynamic and changing environment 
  • Strong technical background in Analytical Technologies, LC and MS Especially
