As the Quality Manager at Waters Romania (Brasov), you will enable the Quality System to support the design and development of products critical to our business needs.

 

We are looking for a smart, self-motivated quality professional to join our truly exceptional engineering team. 

Responsibilities

As a QA Manager:

  • Manage Quality Management System (establish, implement, maintain and improve) ensuring that company objectives and regulatory requirements are met in the most efficient manner possible.
  • Responsible and accountable for the Quality Management System. Provide leadership and commitment to continually improve and maintaining the effectiveness of the QMS to consistently produce safe and effective products. Promoting a risk based / process approach.
  • Manage and develop direct reports, providing coaching, direction and leadership. Complete performance reviews, development plans and update their training (and training records) appropriately.
  • Provide direction and leadership, ensuring that company objectives and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Provide advice and support to Top management to ensure Leadership activities are performed.
  •  Develop and manage interfaces with interested parties e.g. certification bodies, including audits.
  • Identify, manage and undertake continuous improvement activities with aim to increase process consistency across geographic locations and quality to interested parties.
  • Manage the documentation information process, identify and implement system improvements.
  • Manage the Quality System awareness training program to provide adequate knowledge and competence across the Informatics Business Unit.
  • Manage the Internal audit processes, identify and implement system improvements
  • Manage the process non-conformity and Corrective Action processes, identify and implement system improvements.
  • Manage quality system change control activities e.g. implementation of new or changes to process or tool

As a team member you will:

  • participate in all team meetings and ceremonies in direct collaboration with other sites, provide input and feedback, take ownership on identified improvements
  • actively participate in learning and sharing activities either during informal or formal training and demos
  • demonstrate continuous technical improvement

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to apply system quality management practices in efficient and effective ways while ensuring compliance to our process and regulations.
  • Degree in relevant subject area (for example BS in Computer Science, systems engineering or Engineering).
  • Proven knowledge of ISO 9001, experience in ISO 13485 and 21 CFR part 820 desired
  • ISO 9001 or ISO 13485 lead auditor certification desired
  • The ability to lead and drive change through a multi-disciplinary, geographically distributed team.
  • Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring skills. Demonstrated capability in leading a team of people in achieving goals
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Change Agent – drives continuous improvement / compliance to regulations, knowledge of continuous improvement techniques.
  • You are fluent in English - speaking, reading, writing - Advanced Level. Good written and oral communication skills are required for example [to ensure succinct report generation, effective communication with staff, peer groups etc across organisation.
  • Must be able to work independently and communicate with all levels of the organisation.
  • Computer literate, preferably with knowledge of software packages such as Word, Excel to for example [produce letters, management reports, analyse data, etc].
  • Practical approach to problem solving.
