This Desktop Support Specialist position has an important impact in regards to the corporate business applications,Under limited supervision, administer all aspects of the IT computing environment for all end users within Waters India.  Troubleshoot issues that occur within the IT infrastructure for all offices in India and develop solutions to those issues.


  • Provide quality desktop support to end users, including support for hardware, software, printing, applications and training.
  • Maintain the integrity of the desktop computers through upgrades, support, security and new technology.
  • Image, setup and customize new or replacement computers with corporate IT standards.
  • Document processes and procedures as required.
  • Handle additional responsibilities as delegated by management.
  • Address all end user tickets and resolve these issues within the required SLA.
  • Weekend work and evening hours may be required on occasion.
  • 25% travel per year to subsidiaries is required.


  • BS in Computer Science and/or Associates Degree with Computer Science Certifications. with 5+ yrs for relevant IT Support experience
  • Experience with Windows 7 and 10 OS environment.
  • Experience with Symantec NetBackup or a related backup solution.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, SAP Gui and LANdesk.
  • Knowledge of Cyber Security best practices and Symantec anti-virus programs.
  • Ability to perform remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructions to users.
  • Excellent problem-solving and multi-tasking skills.
  • Customer-oriented attitude with exceptional communication skills.
  • Ability to perform basic Data Communication troubleshooting in case of ISP, MPLS, VPN, Wireless AP or Data Switch issues occur (with the guidance of the appropriate corporate IT groups).
  • Asset management experience, performing updates on day-to-day basis.
  • Able to provide mobile device support for iPhones per corporate standards and MDM solution.
  • ARCserve and LANdesk experience is a plus!
