Overview

We are looking for a Senior Regional HR Manager to join the Global Markets HR team reporting into the Americas HR leader.  This role will be located in Mexico City, Mexico and will support the successful growth of our businesses across Latin America (Brazil, Mexico, and Puerto Rico). In this position, you will serve as a Business Partner to our Business Leadership, inclusive of Field Sales, Service, Specialist and Finance groups, to increase organizational efficiency and drive high performance culture within the region while aligning strategy, initiatives and culture with the Americas and Global HR teams.  

Responsibilities

  • Understand overall business/HR strategy and have the ability to translate this into a Latin America HR plan.
  • Create, manage and deliver regional and global HR projects at the highest possible standards.
  • Embedded within the Latam team, act as a true Business Partner involved in all aspects of the business, and specifically in those projects that drive change or require deep HR knowledge and skills. You will be the HR expert that the business relies on to make critical decisions that will have true impact both short and long term.
  • Act as ambassador to drive a culture of Learning and Development by focusing on Return on Investment. You will work closely with the Americas and Global HR team and the business managers to ensure that the right training and development opportunities will be chosen and delivered (in some cases by yourself).
  • Within an ever evolving business, due to internal and external impacts, it is important that leaders are advised and supported by HR to ensure sustainable organizational structures and workforce planning that aligns with business strategy.
  • Work closely with the Americas and Global HR teams, to implement sustainable HR initiatives like Employee Engagement, Reward Management and Talent management to build a desirable work environment.
  • Implement processes that will eliminate redundancy and will create HR effectiveness and efficiencies.
  • Deal with complex performance and employee relations issues, by using knowledge of Latin America labor laws, legal counsel and company knowledge evidencing appropriate decision making skills.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years in an International HR environment
  • Ability to communicate fluently verbally and in writing in English and Spanish required and Portuguese preferred
  • Strong Latin America HR background/labor law experience and knowledge
  • Strong US and international business experience
  • Experience of international sales/service high technology business
  • Experience in successfully driving organizational change
  • Experience in assessing and managing talent pools and driving strong talent development strategy
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including coaching, presentation, listening and negotiating as well as networking and influencing
  • Action oriented, energetic with practical organization, planning and problem solving skills
  • Able to develop credibility and trust at senior management levels by a mix of getting things done applying expertise and giving sound advice
  • Computer literacy including HR systems, ideally SAP HR and SuccessFactors
  • Professionally qualified in HR management
  • Regional travel required throughout Mexico, Brazil and Puerto Rico as well as occasional travel to the US
