    Overview

    This Financial Controller has full responsibility for Statutory, Taxation and Payroll matters of our German legal entity and will additionally assume a leading role for the entire Central Europe region, consisting of Germany, Benelux and Switzerland.

    Responsibilities

    Your main responsibilities:

     

    STAT & TAX management

    • Preparation of the annual LOCAL GAAP financial statements
    • Manage external TAX advisor to ensure full TAX compliance and support with all TAX relevant topics
    • Drive relationship with and provide support for all internal and external auditors

    Accounting & Reporting

    • Responsibility for all Payroll, Benefits, TAX and VAT accounts of the German entity under US GAAP, including monthly account reconciliations
    • Preparation of regional monthly Payroll & Benefits cost analysis and quarterly TAX reporting to our HQ

    Payroll & Benefits Germany

    • Work with external Payroll provider to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing every month
    • Manage relationship with various external pension & benefits partners and ensure efficient administration

    In addition, the Financial Controller will provide general support to the Regional and Germany Finance Manager and drive process enhancement projects. This position requires ability to travel within Europe approx. 20%.of time.

    Qualifications

    Your Technical expertise

    • University degree in Accounting or Business Studies, additional Accounting or TAX qualification would be an advantage
    • Minimum 5 years relevant professional experience in a BIG 4 Audit Firm or equivalent role
    • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, German GAAP & TAX rules, demonstrated both in theory and practice
    • Fluent German and English language skills, additional French language would be an advantage
    • Excellent MS Excel-knowledge
    • SAP FI experience or equivalent ERP would be an advantage
