    The Biopharmaceutical Product Owner will leverage their understanding of the needs of our end user community and translate them into a purpose driven development roadmap. As an influential member of our Informatics organization, the Product Owner will work cross functionally to envision, plan, prioritize and drive product development based on internal and market priorities to deliver the next generation of biopharmaceutical applications.

    • Accountable for the elicitation and definition of a Vision for informatics applications, workflows and products that will maximize the success of for Biopharmaceutical labs and customers
    • Accountable for ensuring that Vision addresses the needs of Waters biopharmaceutical customers to maximize the success of in the biopharmaceutical market
    • Accountable for articulating that vision within Waters Informatics and the wider Business
    • Accountable for breaking that vision down into an effective product backlog that can be implemented and delivered efficiently by Waters Informatics development teams
    • Accountable for the definition and prioritization of the product backlog that will deliver the most business value
    • Build a network of channels and contributors including Customer Success, Global Service Support, Marketing and Field stakeholders to harvest “Voice of the Customer” requirements into comprehensive and justifiable product requirements
    • Ensure that clear Milestone Goals and objectives are set and communicated effectively so that Project Manager can maximize visibility and transparency across the Program.
    • Collaborate continually with the Program PO to ensure that the vision for biopharmaceutical products aligns consistently and coherently with the overall vision for the Program
    • Collaborate with the PO Team to ensure products and dependencies are aligned and managed and requirements are being re-used as much as possible
    • Communicate regularly to the Field and wider business the benefit of biopharmaceutical products through webcasts, demos, presentations, and other appropriate communications channels
    • Act as technical advisor and conduit between other departments/vertical markets
    • Ensure prioritization of all product related issues within other departments to maximize commercial opportunity; this includes Sales, Marketing, Research & Development, Service, Technical Support and Production
    • Align product lifecycle decisions with other Waters products and services in order to harmonize product offerings and maximize market potential


    • Bachelor's Degree in Life Science, Chemistry or appropriate scientific field
    • Higher degree preferred
    • Proven experience with relevant laboratory software and industry knowledge.
    • Proven record of product delivery in a PO role
    • Strong knowledge of LCMS systems and their use within biopharmaceutical preferred.
    • Knowledge of cGMP regulations, regulated and non-regulated environments
    • Travel both domestically and internationally is required (estimated maximum 20% of time).


    • Strong knowledge of LCMS data acquisition systems and their utilities within Biopharma.  
    • Strong knowledge of Informatics product portfolio with emphasis on LCMS data acquisition, data processing, workflow, data management, data integrity and reporting.
    • Strong knowledge of software development and production in a large scale environment
    • An appreciation of APIs and third party software integrations
