This position within the Software Driver Development team in Brasov for Liquid Chromatography Instruments offers a dynamic and collaborative environment, encouraging cross team development with the embedded SW team, Evaluation and the Applications departments.


The instruments involve complex electro-mechanical sub-systems, providing an exciting opportunity for learning system dynamics and integration of different technologies.

Specific training and guidance is provided to ensure a fast integration of the new colleagues.


  • To be responsible for the specification, design, documentation of Driver Software using Visual Studio, C#, .Net for the Waters family of products
  • Participate in all phases of the lifecycle of software application development with an emphasis on architecture, design, quality and implementation with a specific focus on the testing activities
  • To design, develop and/or maintain all aspects of the software product in due time
  • To ensure setup and connectivity of instrumentation
  • To provide automated test code and supporting documentation in accordance with the quality processes and applicable procedures
  • To provide software and technical support to internal and external users where appropriate.



For this role you will be expected to have:

  • University degree in engineering (Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, etc) or in a science ( Chemistry, Mathematics, Informatics, Physics, etc);
  • Proven software development experience with C#, .NET;
  • English- advanced level (spoken and written);
  • Problem solving and analytical skills;
  • Communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable knowledge: C++, Python, WPF, WCF, WinForms, HTML, mobile app development ( Win8, iOS, etc.), Automated Test Frameworks and Tools, experience of software control of electromechanical devices.
