    Overview

    Purpose and Scope of Role

    Drive growth in Waters’ Biopharmaceutical business across Scandinavia through working closely with Sales Managers, Account Managers, Business Development, Marketing and Science teams (European Headquarter & Corporate) to find new contacts and opportunities, develop opportunities and increase the win rate. 

     

    Day-to-day activities would focus on prospecting for new contacts, supporting marketing campaigns, visiting customers and supporting account managers. The role will involve travel across the Nordics, the Baltic states and Iceland and will be based from a Waters office in Denmark or Sweden.

     

    The role depends upon effective relationships with both internal and external customers demanding that the individual should possess excellent communication and presentation skills and be able to work effectively within a team environment whilst also being able to independently conduct sales focused initiatives. Pro-activity, enthusiasm and a creative approach to finding new business is essential.

    Responsibilities

    Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Drive growth in the Biopharmaceutical business across the Nordics and Baltic states, in close cooperation with Sales Managers, Account Managers, Marketing and Science teams (EHQ & Corp)
    • Increase new contact creation, opportunity creation, win rate and sales whilst containing operating costs
    • Specialist understanding of Biopharmaceutical applications, to support the marketing and business development activities across Northern Europe, including European and Corporate initiatives
    • Establish a network of influencers to contribute to marketing campaigns and to positively benefit competitive opportunities
    • Demonstrate internal leadership of the Biopharmaceutical market in Scandinavia energizing, coaching and supporting Account Managers across the region

    Qualifications

    The successful candidate is likely to have the following:

    Education:

    • Degree in a life science related discipline

     

    Experience:

    • 5 years proven track record in proactive technical sales
    • Experience of liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry
    • Experience of the Biopharmaceutical market
    • Marketing experience is desirable

    • Is a quick learner and manages and prioritises her/his time effectively.
    • Is regarded as a trustworthy person and culturally aware.

     

    Travel:

    • This person must hold a current passport and be prepared to travel abroad not only during working hours but also occasionally at weekends.
