    Department Overview

    Within the Supply Chain Department, we are responsible for ensuring supply of Waters’ speciality measurement instruments and related consumables products to our customers worldwide. Specifically, our Supply Chain team are responsible for: production planning, supplier management & procurement, new production introduction, warehouse operations & inventory control, and logistics & trade compliance.     Job Overview

    We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Information Specialist to collaborate with a diverse team who are accountable for both strategic and tactical supply chain activities.  This role focuses on supporting and optimising our technology systems/tools and business processes to deliver impactful reporting analytics solutions. The position would suit an enthusiastic team worker who is seeking a rewarding career in a dynamic Supply Chain environment.




    • Subject Matter Expert for planning business systems, including SAP APO, ECC and SAP BA
    • Principle Planning & Procurement management report owner
    • Maintain data systems, ensuring master data consistency
    • Interpret data, analyze results and provide ongoing reports
    • Develop and implement new reporting tools as required
    • Partnering with Business Technology BT
    • Streamline, improve & enhance existing reports
    • Work with stakeholders to ensure that reports align to business & information needs




    • Degree in Information Technology or equivalent qualification
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a volume manufacturing environment
    • Experience of design and implementation of best in class standards in Supply Chain processes
    • Experience of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and compliance to ISO 9001: 2015 and ISO 13485:2003

    The following would be desirable, but are not essential:

    • Knowledge of SAP ECC & APO package or equivalent MRP system
    • Technical expertise regarding data mining and analysis model design.
    • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages (Excel, SPSS, etc.)
