    As an Inside Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for driving Waters Chemistries & Consumables business in the UK, by joining a small, dynamic team located at our Elstree office in Hertfordshire.


    Key metrics of your success in this role will be an ability to develop sales leads into well-qualified opportunities, and to deliver incremental sales revenue. You will have both the 'hunter' and 'gatherer' modes of prospecting to create new business opportunities for our Chemistries & Consumables business.


    To be successful in this new exciting role; the Inside Sales function demands that you:

    • Have excellent communication and active-listening skills engaging with customers via telephone; email and social media.
    • Have the self-starting will to continuously meet and exceed sales targets
    • Have an ability to forge productive working relationships with relevant teams within Waters: Field Sales; Technical Support; Field Service Engineers; Marketing; etc.
    • Have the capability of engaging effectively with customers at differing levels of hierarchy: key decisionmakers; Department Heads; Purchasing Managers; Laboratory Technicians; Scientists and other instrument-users.
    • Possess technical knowledge and hands-on experience of Chromatography and/or Mass Spectrometry; Chemistries & Consumables.
    • Have an understanding of the following markets: Academia; Food & Environmental; Biopharma; Pharmaceuticals; Chemical and Materials.





    • B.Sc and/or M.Sc in a Science degree



    • Hands-on experience of Chromatography and/or Mass Spectrometry
    • Customer-engaging selling experience - technical sales preferably.



    • Passionate about selling
    • Confident and comfortable communicating with customers via telephone and written format
    • Demonstrated Customer-focus skills for generating revenue
    • Experience in a CRM business tool
    • Ability to conduct regular gap analysis in account management for new business opportunities
    • Strong organisational and time-management skills
    • An understanding of the Waters Product portfolio would be an advantage.
