    We are seeking a TypeScript/JavaScript Software Developer to support the development and manufacturing of our Mass Spectrometry products through the design and development of automated instrument test software.  This role offers the opportunity to work with a wide variety of technologies such as modern C++, C#, Node.js, Angular, TypeScript/Javascript, Linux etc. in a highly collaborative environment to deliver bespoke software products as part of an overall transformation of our manufacturing process. 


    Design, develop and maintain software developed by the Operations Software team. 

    Work in close partnership with software test engineers, product assurance engineers and instrument control function to improve product quality.

    Provide code and supporting documentation in accordance with the software development processes and codes of practice.

    Help internal and external users by providing software and technical support

    Identify opportunities for improved productivity, efficiency and quality. 

    Build strong working relationships with other departments.



    Degree (or equivalent) in a science, engineering or computing related subject 


    Proven development experience in TypeScript/JavaScript

    Knowledge of Node/Angular Frameworks

    Development experience in C#, C++, Lua

    Familiarity with unit testing frameworks

    Knowledge of Docker


    Passionate about software development which you can clearly convey by your actions and experiences

    Ability to solve complex problems

    Self motivated and like being part of a team

    Excellent communication and decision making skills

    Knowledge of Atlassian Toolset

    Experience developing instrumentation control software
