    This position is an exciting opportunity for a Principle Application Scientist who is looking to expand his/her career by applying their technical skills as member of Waters dynamic Sales organization.



    The ideal candidate combines excellent scientific skills with strong commercial business acumen, and the desire to contribute to the customers’ success by helping them choose the best system solution from Waters product portfolio to address the customers’ analytical challenges. The Principle Applications Scientist will stand as a technical expert for deeply understanding market environment and further supporting and supervising demo chemist in multiple types of applications (not limited to), Food & Environment, Chemical Materials, Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences with a focus on quadrupole mass and high resolution mass.



    This role is required to travel approximately 25% of his/her time.


    • Develop dominant and prospetive application solutions with liquid chromatography & mass spectrometry based on Waters’ products, to meet the needs of Sepcific China Market
    • Solve highly complex application problems, the technical solutions provided have broad and far-reaching implications for business development
    • Provide application related consultation to decision maker
    • Support and Supervise Demo chemist to perform competitive Demo experiments results to show advantages of total solution for prospective clients
    • Provide application training on responsible product and technology
    • Support installed site to help customers be successful; Maintain installed base customer satisfaction
    • Visit, communicate and collaborate with customers based on our solution and  the keen understanding of the customers
    • Collaborate closely with BD and marketing teams to ensure business growth


    • Master’s degree above in analytical chemistry, Pharmaceutical, biomedical chemistry or related field

    • Minimum 10 years of work experience in instrumental analysis

    • Have rich experience in LC, LC-MS, especially in Quadrupole mass and High resolution mass

    • Strong self-motivated and work independently under stress

    • Ability to focus on detail while prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously

    • Good web, Word, and Excel capabilities

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; polish written skills in English

    • Passionate in learning high-tech science

    • A team player and self-starter with strong organization skills
