Principal Product Marketing Manager – Mass Spectrometry Systems
As a Principal Product Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the solutions business strategy, commercialization and sustaining marketing activities for a segment of the mass spectrometry business unit. Attention to detail, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits, is critical. Reporting to the Director, Mass Spectrometry Systems Marketing, the Principal Product Marketing Manager is a highly visible, global role that must lead through influence with a number of cross-functional teams across the entire Waters Division.
A self-directed, highly motivated individual with strong business acumen as well as technical and market knowledge would be ideal for this position. Domestic and international travel of up to 30% is required.
Develop marketing and positioning strategies that differentiate Waters innovative mass spectrometry technology
Define, develop and implement mass spectrometry solutions strategy and roadmap in relation to the greater Waters portfolio and strategy.
Develop, orchestrate and lead go-to-market plans for new product release and sustaining marketing program.
Work closely with market segments, product owners and scientific teams to execute the mass spectrometry roadmap and to drive innovation.
Work closely with marketing communications, market segments, product owners and scientific teams on content generation to fulfill marketing strategy campaigns.
Work with the sales channel to understand adoption barriers, effective deployment of sales enablement resources and gather customer use cases
Generate personas, value propositions and positioning for key areas of responsibility.
Develop comprehensive marketing requirements based off voice of the customer and work cross functionally with strategic teams to generate business cases that aid in the justification and prioritization of new products or enhancements.
Work closely with field marketing, sales management teams and product owners to develop and execute training plans. Prioritize areas of focus by geography.
Maintain competitive intelligence and develop appropriate and timely responses for internal and external audiences.
Lead cross functional commercialization and marketing program teams for new product and sustaining marketing efforts
